There are hundreds of pages featuring thousands of products on our website. When you wish to make a purchase, add the required item/s to the shopping basket. When you are ready to enter your purchase details (ie name and address, card details etc), please click on 'Order Checkout'. As there are many products on the website, you may or may not find it difficult to locate certain products. Use the search facility at the top of each page to find products by keywords, part numbers etc. Use the manufacturer menu to find products of a certain type or by a particular manufacturer. Orders placed before noon, will be processed on the same day. Orders placed after this time may be processed on the next working day. When posting an online order, you will receive an order reference number. Please use this to enquire about the order process using the ORDER CHECK facility. You will also need your BILLING POSTCODE. We reserve the right to refuse to process orders should we feel that they are of a fraudulent nature. You may cancel an order providing that it has not been dispatched. Cancellations must be done by calling 0115 9770391 during office hours. Please do not email order cancellations as these may not be accepted. Quite simply, we offer some extra special prices for customers who order online. Why? We believe that the web is the future high street, and thus encourage transactions to be placed online. . As a courtesy to customers, we also honour web only offers made by telephone, as we understand that not everybody. WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO DFB ACCEPT? We accept various payment methods which include Visa, Visa Delta, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, JCB, bank transfer and cheque. Unfortunately we are unable to accept Visa Electron Cards by mail order, and we cannot take American Express cards at present.. Your card will not be charged when the order is placed. It will usually be charged on the day of dispatch. On certain items (ie expensive items not normally kept in stock) your card may be charged before your goods are dispatched. If you pay by cheque, please forward it to DFB Sound & Light Warehouse, Unit 11 Martin Close, Blenheim Industrial Estate, Bulwell, Notts. NG6 8US. Your order will not be dispatched until your cheque has cleared in our bank account. For bank transfers, please contact accounts@dfb-uk.com for details on how to do this, or call 0800 279 4828 and ask for Shaun Palmer. ARE MY PAYMENT DETAILS SECURE? Your order and payment details are left on a secure server which only ourselves have access to. If you are in any doubt, please ensure that the 'secure lock' symbol appears on your browser to verify that it is secure. Your credit card details are kept only long enough to process your order, therefore if you order again, details will need to be resubmitted. CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE DELIVERY PROCESS? We only use well respected parcel delivery services which at present include TNT Express, Parcel Force and Business Post. Depending on the size and destination of your order, one of these companies will be used to delivery your order. We delivery to all UK addresses and the majority of UK islands. Please note that although we send items on a next day delivery service, a small percentage may not be received until later (eg. Ireland, Northern Ireland, UK Islands and remote areas may take longer). Delivery is subject to stock being available. We have amended the delivery pricing in an attempt to make it clear as to what costs (if any) that you will pay. All items are sent are insured, which means that if for any reason your goods get lost or damaged, you shall not be out of pocket. (Ireland, Northern Ireland, UK Islands and remote areas may take longer). Our new delivery charge structure is as follows: (please note that the surcharge applies to the areas below, even if the order exceeds £100.00)
Items not in stock will be delayed - if we know of a long delay (ie more than 5 days) we shall inform you by email. Please be reminded that the weekend days are not classed as working days.Some items are marked as Postage free such as CD's, stylus, spares etc. We strongly recommend that you choose the 'Recorded delivery' option as we are not able to reimburse for non delivery through the standard postal service. We do however obtain a certificate of posting as proof that your order was dispatched. WHAT PERIOD OF GUARANTEE DO THE PRODUCTS HAVE AND WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT COVERED? All products carry a guarantee of at least one year from date of purchase (except 2nd hand and some ex demonstration items which will specify a different period of guarantee if applicable) Some products eg Mad Manufacturing items and Gemini items carry further guarantees of 2 or 3 years. Items that are not covered under guarantee are consumables (ie faders, lamps, batteries, turntable belts, styli and cartridges). If you experience problems with any of these items, replacements are usually available by calling our sales team on 0800 279 4828 or emailing sales@dfb-uk.com. If you receive a faulty product, please notify us at your earliest convenience. If it is within 14 days that we are notified we will arrange for collection of the faulty goods and delivery of a replacement. If it is in excess of 14 days, the onus is on yourself to cover the costs of the return to ourselves, although we will return the repaired or replaced item back to yourself with no charge. Where a replacement is not available (ie because manufacturer cannot supply, or end of line etc) an equivalent replacement may be offered (though you are not bound to accept this) or refund made. If a product falls faulty during its guarantee period, please call us on 0800 279 4828. In some cases faults can be diagnosed and even solved over the telephone thus saving the inconvenience of returning your product. If you do need to return the item you will be given returns reference. Please use the usual address and ensure that the returns reference is clearly visable on the outside of the package. Goods will be assessed on site as to whether repair can be undertaken in house or at the manufacturer. We will endeavour to return the item/s to you as quickly as we can. Should you be unsatisfied with a product you have purchased from us, it can be returned within 7 days. You will get a refund of what you have paid (less our delivery costs of getting the product to you) by the payment method that you made. For example, if you paid by Mastercard, we are only able to refund the Mastercard you used. In order to get a refund, items must be unopened and unused, and in their original packaging. We also help protect you with our online security measures, ensuring that details do not fall into the wrong hands. To this end we take security very seriously and go to great lengths to protect all your details. Our website also features Secure Encryption. This ensures that you card details are 'scrambled' and cannot be intercepted. When entering key information, including name and address, a padlock will display in the bottom of your browser, giving you piece of mind that things are secure. Your email address is vital to ensure that our service is prompt, and you are informed of the progress of your order. Your email address may also be used for product updates, special offer bulletins, website updates, etc. It will be kept private, and you may remove you email address from our mailing lists by contacting info@dfb-uk.com. We will endeaver to provide an efficient service. Please be aware that any orders placed after 2:30pm are not guaranteed to be processed until the next working day.
